NDRK

NDKj, also known as Andrea Quirico, was born in 1981 in Novara, Italy. His passion for electronic music, particularly techno, ignited at a young age, leading him to delve into DJing and eventually producing his own tracks. He made his debut as a DJ in 1998, spinning at smaller clubs and private events in Northern Italy. Influenced by renowned techno artists, he developed a style that blended hard beats with groove. However, NDKj sought to push boundaries beyond DJing and began experimenting with his own techno sounds. In 2004, he teamed up with fellow Italian DJ Mauro Alpha, and their collaboration led to the release of “Dark Ages” on Holzplatten in February 2006, followed by “Pallette” on Boxer Sport label just three months later. Summer of 2006 marked a significant milestone for NDKj as he joined Oliver Lieb’s Maschine label, releasing his first EP titled “Put it where you want” [MAS10] by the end of November. Concurrently, NDKj, Mauro Alpha, and Andrea Paganin formed “The Dust Soldiers,” with their debut release scheduled for October 2007 on Polar Noise. In 2007, NDKj established Heatflow Records, and in 2009, he achieved success with his “Dishes EP” on the label, garnering attention and chart positions on platforms like Beatport Tech-House Top 10. His tracks, such as “Main Course” and “Funkest Star,” received widespread support from renowned DJs and producers worldwide, solidifying his position in the electronic music scene. NDKj collaborated with various labels including Cr2, Spinnin Records, Strictly Rhythm, Defected, and Factomania. He also worked with prominent artists like Wally Lopez, Ismael Rivas, Ivan Pica, Luigi Rocca, and David Herrero. NDKj’s talent and contributions to the industry earned him recognition, including a nomination by Wally Lopez as Breakthrough DJ/Producer of 2010 alongside Carlo Lio and Jay Lumen. His track “Running Out” with Wally Lopez, released on Strictly Rhythm, secured a place in the TOP 10, further highlighting his impact on the electronic music scene.
